Full Figured Fashion Week Day 3 - Just My Size Breakfast, Sonsi Be-YOU-tiful Blogger Party and the Indie Designers' Showcase

So after a fun night out on the town at the networking event, we all headed back to our beds for a few hours before the next day of events! The morning of day three brought the Just My Size Breakfast, where we met with the execs from Just My Size and reconnected with a few members of the plus size community.

Next up was the Sonsi Be-YOU-tiful blogger party, where we were treated to make-up touch ups, manicures, prize giveaways, lovely hors d'oeuvres, and great company. We got to meet some of the fantastic people behind Sonsi, SWAK designs, Catherine's, and Pretty Pear Bride.

Once I had been all dolled up by the fantastic make-up artist, I had to dash out of there to try to find the perfect outfit for the Indie Designers' Showcase! I usually work well under pressure, but NYC was totally stressing me out! My first two stops were Macy's and Bloomingdale's. Both stores seemed pretty "fished out." A likely result of all the other fine ladies of FFFWeek and their shopping prowess!!! So off to Monif C I went! As soon as I got there, I was thinking, why didn't I come here in the first place??? It was awesome to check out her showroom and chat with other lovely ladies (also FFFWeek attendees) who were shopping. It was a very supportive, happy shopping environment, and I'm glad I remembered that Monif has a showroom in NYC, otherwise I would likely still be fruitlessly searching for a dress! I explained my situation and the manager helped me find the perfect dress. I actually left the showroom wearing the dress because I was in such a rush!

I am totally happy with how my outfit turned out. What do you guys think? I decided to wear this dress as a strapless, but there are over 40 different ways you can tie it to give it a different look. I think next time I'll try cap sleeves!

Doesn't Peter look dapper? We got his suit custom made from Studio Suits. The jacket was a little big when it came, and we had to get it taken in, so go for the slim fit option if you're ordering (we went with regular)

Full Figured Fashion Week Day 1 - Press Reception and White Cruise

Hey Guys! So after an exhausting but amazingly fun day slogging around Manhattan in the rain, the next day we all got prettied up to attend the press reception and all-white sunset cruise. At the press reception, there was wine, champagne, and lovely catering, and best of all, we got to meet and chat with the designers and PR reps from all of the different brands exhibiting in the runway shows. Also in attendance were all the fab bloggers from the Full Figured Fashion Front, as well as other familiar and awefaces from the blogosphere.

We got to meet with so many reps from all the different brands, including 17 Sundays, Ashley Nell Tipton, Ashley Stewart, Chinoo Designs, Curvato, Evans, Eyani Couture, Eye Candy by SK Wilbur, Jibri, Jill Alexander Designs, Kiss My Curves by Evie Foster, Lane Bryant, Lavender's Jungle, Masaari, Mynt 1792 (love those guys!), Pretty Pear Bride, Queen Grace Collection, Rachel Pally White Label, Savannah Red, Sonsi, Sorella Swim, and Youtheary Khmer. 

Once we'd mixed and mingled at the press event, it was time to head out and get ready for the annual white cruise. Since I was staying in the Bronx with Peter's family, Jess from TOO Many Sequins invited me to get ready in between events in her room (so nice!). I don't know what I would have done without her! She looked absolutely stunning in her white outfit. 

I had a really hard time finding a white dress I liked, especially since I didn't want to show up in the same dress as anyone else, but after ordering three other dresses, I finally found this one at Addition Elle, and I was so happy with it! Many thanks to Addition Elle for the dress!!!

There was even a proposal on-board! Olivia, from the blog Wait Until The Sunset, brought her bf Ben on board and he proposed right after we passed the Statue of Liberty! So romantic! <3 you guys!!! So after we docked, we all headed to try to find a taxi, but there were so many of us that it took a while. I think a bus from mid-town to the pier and back again for next year's white cruise would be a great idea. This way, no one's stuck trying to flag down a taxi. We actually had trouble getting one both ways. And someone stole ours on the way back! Look what Peter had to resort to just to get us there!

LOL. I think this should be his new profile pic on FB! Anyway, we finally made it back to the hotel, and everyone crashed for the night almost right away since the next day was also pretty jam-packed with awesome fashion events.
