What I'm Wearing...

Hey Everyone!

I went out to meet a friend for drinks last week and I took some photos of my outfit to post here for you all to see.

This blog is sort of also about me becoming a little bit more interested in photography, as you can probably tell by these more-experimental shots of my accessories. I'd love to know what you think (of the photography, the outfit, the site, whatever!). Please leave comments below.

Jeans - Seven (purchased at Lane Bryant)
Top - Forever 21 +
Shoes - Penney's (Ireland) - They don't sell online, but their parent company, Selfridges, does. They may have something similar...
Locket - Vivah (years ago! It was a gift from the BF).
Look out for my pick of the week coming up soon!

Ciao!

Karen

It's been awhile! What I'm Wearing...

It's been awhile since I've posted anything, since I was away on a trip to Ireland and the UK. I had a lot of fun while I was over there exploring some of the plus-size clothing options. Many of the stores go up to a size 18 (a Canadian 16) and some go up to a 26 (a Canadian 24), so shopping with friends who aren't looking for plus-sizes is a lot more fun. I'd have to say that Penney's in Ireland was my favourite, but Dorothy Perkins and New Look were also pretty great. Unfortunately, neither New Look or Penney's ship to Canada, but Dorothy Perkins does.

I brought a few dresses with me, since I knew I would be going out a lot, and here's one that I got on a cross border shopping trip from a store called Dots.

Dress, Dots - $16 (US)
Shrug, Dots - $12 (US)
Handbag, Dots - $12 (US)
Necklace and Earrings (Set), Dollarama (yes, I know, amazing!) - $1
Bracelet, Forever 21 - $4.80
Shoes, Payless Shoe Source - $24.99

Total Outfit Price: Rougly $71! Not bad...

What I'm Wearing...

So this week, I went to a wedding, and I got a new oufit to wear! I went to the Forever 21 at Mapleview Mall and I found so many things I wanted, but I had to limit myself! I tried on a bunch of stuff and most of it fit really well. They've got loads of great stuff right now. Unfortunately, though, the section was much smaller than the last time I was there (when they had a much larger area devoted to the Faith21 line, which was much better organized). I was able to find some really great items, though. Here's the one I picked out for the wedding:

The dress is from Forever 21, and the shoes are from SoftMoc. They are Rockports and they are super comfy! You see the bare feet in the background? I didn't have to take my shoes off at all that night! The dress was $27.90 at Forever 21 Mapleview Mall, Burlington. The shoes are a bit older, so I don't remember the exact cost... You can't really see it in this shot, but I was also wearing a black leather rose headband from Forever 21. It's more visible in this shot: ----->

That's all for today!

What I'm Wearing...

Hi All,

I've taken a few photos of myself in some of my favourite outfits so you can see first-hand what my style is and how I put all the pieces together. I will try to post a picture a week of me in a different outfit, with descriptions of where I got the pieces and how much they cost (if I can remember). Here's my first outfit:

Jacket - from Delirious (their store in Waterloo - they ship throughout Canada)

Top - from Addition-Elle/MXM (not sure how much it cost b/c it was a gift)

Skirt - from Suzy Shier (although Suzy Shier doesn't carry plus-size specifically, some of their items are cut a bit larger or are stretchy and will fit up to a size 18).

Bag - from vintage store (I think it was about $10)

Neclace - from Forever 21 (about $8)

Shoes - from Winners (about $35)

Hope you liked my first outfit! Stay tuned for more!
