What I'm Wearing... (or OOTD)

Hey Everyone!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I haven't decided yet what I'm wearing today, but if it's anything good, I'll be sure to post it. I'm sure it will involve something green...   =D

I wore this outfit to my brother-in-law's 30th birthday party. Hope you enjoy!

Skirt, bolero, and leggings - Forever 21 +/Necklace - Tartx Designs (a present from the bf =D)/Shoes - American Eagle brand from Payless/Earrings - Plain studs I've had for ages/T-shirt - Dots/Hat - Ardene

The necklace features an image of Anne Boleyn, one of Henry VIII's ill-fated wives. I really like historically inspired stuff. If you've ever watched the show Ugly Betty, you might recognize the "B" necklace that she wears in this picture of Anne Boleyn. It was a very famous piece of historical jewellery and you can purchase replicas all over the place now. You can even get it made with your own initial.

I really like the skirt because floral patterns are very trendy this season. When I was over in England and Ireland last summer, it was everywhere. It seems like we're a bit behind here... When I look at the UK sites now, it seems to be all about the Aztec prints (which I must say I'm not a huge fan of), so maybe that's next summer's thing for North America. That's my style forecast for today! What do you all think?

I went out to meet a friend for drinks last week and I took some photos of my outfit to post here for you all to see.

This blog is sort of also about me becoming a little bit more interested in photography, as you can probably tell by these more-experimental shots of my accessories. I'd love to know what you think (of the photography, the outfit, the site, whatever!). Please leave comments below.

It's been awhile! What I'm Wearing...

It's been awhile since I've posted anything, since I was away on a trip to Ireland and the UK. I had a lot of fun while I was over there exploring some of the plus-size clothing options. Many of the stores go up to a size 18 (a Canadian 16) and some go up to a 26 (a Canadian 24), so shopping with friends who aren't looking for plus-sizes is a lot more fun. I'd have to say that Penney's in Ireland was my favourite, but Dorothy Perkins and New Look were also pretty great. Unfortunately, neither New Look or Penney's ship to Canada, but Dorothy Perkins does.

I brought a few dresses with me, since I knew I would be going out a lot, and here's one that I got on a cross border shopping trip from a store called Dots.

Total Outfit Price: Rougly $71! Not bad...

My First Pick of the Week!!!

So here's my first pick of the week, which is available at Voluptuous stores (http://www.voluptuousclothing.com/) all across the GTA. It's a button-front, cuff sleeve, tierred-skirt tunic, which, as you can see from the picture, pairs really well with a lot of chunky and flashy accessories. I would probably pair this item with some tights, since it's a little short for me to wear it just on its own. This item comes with the belt and retails for $57.50 at Voluptuous Clothing. The colours are tan and purple. It's feminine and fun, and is definitely one item I'm adding to my ever-expanding wish list! Check it out:
